Description
- diamond, platinum
Suspending a fancy brown yellow briolette diamond weighing 56.25 carats, to a stylised necklace of arbesque form, set with baguette, tapered baguette and brilliant-cut diamonds, the diamonds together weighing approximately 16.00 carats, mounted in platinum, length approximately 390mm, necklace signed Cartier and numbered 57-G3174.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to GIA report, the briolette diamond is natural, of Fancy Brown-Yellow colour, VS1 clarity. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the briolette diamond shows a medium, champaign yellow hue, with very nice outline and great surface glitters. Other baguette and tapered diamonds are about E to G colours, VVS to VS clarity. Necklace signed Cartier, and numbered.
Condition: Vintage platinum necklace probably dated 1950s, briolette diamond is later added, overall in very good condition.
