Centring on an oval cabochon colour-changing star sapphire weighing 16.51 carats, to a stylised mount set with brilliant-cut diamonds together weighing approximately 1.10 carats, mounted in 18 karat white gold.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to SSEF report, the colour-change star sapphire is natural, of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the star sapphire shows a fine and centred six-ray star upon spot lighting; and distinct colour-change phenomenon, from medium, intense blue in daylight, to strong purple colour in incandescent light. Upon 10x loupe, there are silks and a few feathers, which are very common to natural star sapphire and not seen to naked eyes. Diamonds in the surround are about G to H colours, VS clarity.
Condition: Karat white gold mount, in very good condition.

Accompanied by SSEF report numbered 55678, dated 12 March 2010, stating that the 16.51 carat sapphire is natural, of Sri Lankan (Ceylon) origin, displays a distinct star effect (asterism) and colour-change from slightly purplish blue (day light) to purple (incandescent light), with no indications of heating.
