Of foliate design set with circular- and single-cut diamonds, highlighted with cultured pearls and pearls.
Condition
Verbal some of the pearls were found to be cultured some natural.
Formerly in the collection of Princess Lobanov de Rostoff (née Princess Dolgorouky). Sale of MM. Eug. & Ad. Monod that was held in Geneva in January 1020. In 1858 Princess Lobanov married Prince Jacques Rostovsky in St Petersburg. They were one of the first couples of Russian provenance to settle in Cannes between 1903 and 1914.
She was a very young widow who was passionate about the arts and lived surrounded by a large collection of objets d'art which she had gathered from around the world. One of the areas she was most passionate about was high quality jewellery.
Pearls white, light rose and green overtones, medium lustre. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 2.40 carats, bright and lively. One loose pearl. Tarnished mount consistent with time. Safety catch to pin. Accompanied by a blue velvet case. In good condition.
