Description
- emerald, paste, gold
The gold mesh bag to a chased frame of foliate design, the clasp set with cabochon emeralds and the frame accented with green circular- and step-cut paste, to a fetter link chain, measurements approximately 145mm x 110mm, French assay marks.
Condition
Stamped with French assay marks for 18 carat gold, weighing approximately 230.8 grams. Emeralds light green with typical inclusions visible to naked eye and under magnification. Paste intense green, well matched in colour. Compartment in centre of bag. Slight scratches to mount consistent with wear. In good condition.
Makers mark to side of clasp: AFRES.
