The necklace composed of twenty-seven graduated oval and cushion-shaped rubies together weighing approximately 66.47 carats, each spaced by an emerald-cut diamond, the diamonds together weighing 20.13 carats, mounted in 18 karat white and yellow gold, length approximately 390mm.

Condition

Colour and Clarity: According to both Gübelin and GRS reports, all rubies are natural, of Burmese origin, with no indication of thermal treatment. All rubies, except of the centre ruby, comes from the most renowned Mogkok valley in Burma. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the rubies, ranging from 1.88 to 3.23 carats each, are of strong, bright red colour, generally eye clean with nice brilliance. Upon 10x loupe, there are natural inclusions in all rubies, which are very common to Burmese stones, but generally not noticeable to naked eyes. All emerald-cut diamonds, ranging from 0.70 to 0.82 carat each, are certified. According to GIA reports, all, except a 0.79-ct stone, are D to E colours, VVS1 to VS1 clarity. The 0.79-ct diamond is F colour, VVS1 clarity. Condition: Karat white gold and gold mount, articulated links, overall in very good condition. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that jadeite and rubies of Burmese origin and articles of jewellery containing jadeite or rubies of Burmese origin all less than 100 years old may not be imported into the US. The purchaser's inability to import any item into the U.S. or any other country as a result of these or other restrictions shall not justify cancellation or rescission of the sale or any delay in payment. Please check with the specialist department if you are uncertain as to whether a lot is subject to these import restrictions, or any other restrictions on importation or exportation.
