Catalogue Note

Michael Rapoport was born in Kazakhstan in 1948 and in 1990 moved to Israel. He has participated in exhibitions in Israel, Russia, Germany and Italy. While his work is not documentary, Rapoport paints with photo realist precision. His subjects are placed in a setting based on the artist's personal vision, evoking a feeling of a strange existence.
