Condition
Good overall condition, with minor losses, creasing and staining overall. A circular loss in lotus petal behind emaciated figure, top right of mandala, clearly visible in catalogue illustration. Losses and water damage to lower left corner of picture. Staining in the blue clouds. No restoration.

The mandala of the preaching Buddha set in a landscape guarded by the four Lokapalas with an upper register of cloud-borne deities including Vashudara, Prajnaparamita, Buddha, Shadakshari and Manjuvajra, a Vajracharya below performing a fire ritual during a ceremonial procession, with a family of donors below worshipping Manjushri.
