Condition

The canvas is laid down on isorel. The edges of the canvas are slightly irregular, although this is not visible when framed. A close examination reveals a small network of thin hairline shrinkage in the areas of thickest impasto. Examination under UV light reveals only a few scattered minor spots of retouching towards the edges of the composition and two tiny spots of paint-loss in the pale green pigment towards the centre. The colours of this work are particularly bright and fresh. This work is in overall very good condition.
