Condition

The panel is sound. A close inspection reveals a faint vertical hairline fissure in the surface of the panel towards the left edge and three tiny superficial holes towards the lower edge, all original to the panel and visible in the catalogue illustration. There is no evidence of retouching visible under UV light. This work is in very good original condition.

Catalogue Note

dated '15.5.64' on the reverse, oil on panel. Painted on 15th May 1964.
