Condition
The canvas is unlined. The reverse of the canvas has remnants of an earlier scene and the ink underdrawing for a child can be seen. The picture's surface is in fair condition. The gouache has been heavily applied and there is craquelure and small losses throughout. Under UV, there is inpainting evident along the edges, especially the upper and right edges. The areas of lighter blue in the sky also flouresce and may be discolored from previous restorations.
