Condition

Four works. Spring: Canvas mounted on panel. Panel is sound. The edges of the canvas have been cut, and a portion of the cut top edge is visible along the right half of the top edge of the work. Surface is clean. Under UV light: an area of inpainting is visible at the center of the top edge, and one small area is visible at the bottom edge near the lower left corner. Otherwise fine. Summer: Canvas mounted on panel. Panel is sound. Surface is slightly dirty. Under UV light: strokes of inpainting are visible at the lower right corner, and pindot of inpainting is visible in the center of the depicted sail. A few small dots are visible to the left and right of the boat at the center of the composition. A few small spots are apparent at the extreme left edge. Otherwise fine. Fall: Canvas mounted on panel. Panel is sound. The artist's pinholes are visible at the lower right corner. Under UV light: strokes of inpainting are visible at the upper left corner, along the right half of the bottom edge, at the right half of the top edge, and at the upper right corner. Otherwise fine. Winter: Canvas mounted on panel. Panel is sound. Edges of the canvas are visible at the top, bottom, and left edges of the canvas. Canvas is curling slightly along the left edge. Under UV light: strokes of inpainting are visible in the upper left corner and upper right corner. A few scattered pindots are visible elsewhere in the composition. Otherwise fine. Overall, the works are in generally good condition.
