Condition

Canvas has been striplined and coated with a thick layer of varnish. There are some pindot losses to the upper left corner. Under UV light: a thick masking varnish makes it difficult to read the surface of the canvas. There appears to be a roughly 4-inch L-shaped area of retouching below the center of the lower left quadrant, as well as scattered strokes of retouching around the perimeter. Broad strokes of varnish fluoresce throughout, as do scattered pindots, which may be original pigments or spots of retouching. Overall the work is in fair condition.
