Condition
Executed on cream wove paper. Sheet is not laid down but affixed to another sheet along edges on verso. Small tears along upper edge suggest sheet was torn from a sketchbook. Bottom and right edges are deckled. Two small repaired tears on left half of bottom edge. Sheet is very slightly light struck with a faint mat stain around perimeter. One single dot of foxing just to right of feet. Line is very strong. Work is in very good condition.

Catalogue Note
This drawing appears to be a study for the oil painting Femme nue sur le canapé de Nice, 1910 (see Bernheim-Jeune, L'Atelier de Renoir, Paris, 1931, vol. II, no. 386, pl. 124).
