Condition

Canvas is not lined. There are some thin stable cracks in the sky near the upper left corner. The surface retains a rich impasto and appears to be clean. Under UV light: Many pigments fluoresce but appear to be original and no inpainting is apparent. A thick layer of varnish fluoresces in the area over the signature. This varnish appears to have been cleaned off the rest of the composition but left here to preserve the signature. The work is in excellent condition.
