Condition

Executed on cream wove paper laid down on canvas. Artist pinholes in all four corners. Minor rubbing along the left edge of the sheet and a few small stains are visible along the upper edge. Some minor cracking in the thickest blue and red pigment. The red dots in the upper central part of the composition appear somewhat pressed. Otherwise this work is in very good condition. Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the red tones are stronger in person and the sanguine shows greater density.
