Condition
The canvas is not lined and there appear to be no signs of retouching visible under UV light. There are a few areas which fluoresce slightly along the right edge, probably due to thinner areas of paint. There are artist's pinholes to the upper corners and lower left corner and a few tiny paint losses to the lower right corner. There is very light paint shrinkage to the black pigment. Otherwise, this work is in good condition.
Colours: Fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, although the colours are overall brighter in the original: the reds are much more orange, the yellows and greens are brighter and the background is whiter in the original. Attractive impasto in the flowers.
