Condition
Executed on cream card. Mounted at edges to a card support which is mounted on a fabric-covered backboard. Apart from some very slight possible fading to the edges of the composition the work is in very good condition.
Colours: The colours are fresher and more vibrant in the original than they appear in the printed catalogue.

Catalogue Note
The present work was a commission from the president of Castleton China Co., Louis E. Hellman, as a design for a porcelain plate titled Ronde de Femmes- Hortensia. The completed plate was exhibited at B. Altman and Co., New York, in November 1942 and at the Racquet Club, Chicago, in 1943.
