Condition
The canvas is lined. There are four repaired tears running vertically and horizontally across the centre of the composition, with associated retouching (the work was deliberately torn into four pieces and subsequently repaired, possibly in line with the artist's intentions). There are further minor nailhead sized spots of retouching to the lower right corner and in the lower left quadrant. These retouchings are visible under UV light. This work is in overall good condition.
Colours: Overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue although the red, blue and yellow colourfield on the lower edge is more subtle and there is more variation in the yellows in the original.
