There is a tiny V-shaped tear above the right shoulder of the seated woman. There are three tiny specks of foxing and a spot of slight discolouration in the sky. This work is in good condition. Colours: Overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, although the blues are brighter and the paper tone is lighter in the original.

Catalogue Note

'Looking at these two bare-breasted bathers, one could just as well be in modern day Saint Tropez as in Deauville in 1925. Indeed with his prolific imagination, Van Dongen miraculously succeeded in eliminating the limits of time and space'.
