Catalogue Note

This bronze is from a series of 10 bronzes cast in 1971 by the Fratelli Barberis foundry in Turin. This series is based upon Man Ray's drawings for the 1937 book Les Mains Libres, which featured sixty of his works accompanied by poems by Paul Eluard. Each bronze in the series was cast in an edition of 8.
