  • A Woman in an evening gown and a Sketch of a Standing Woman: two works
  • (i) Pen and ink on pink paper; (ii) Pen and ink on blue letter paper from 25, Quai de Bourbon;
  • (i) 13 by 6 1/8 in. 33 by 15.6 cm.
  • (ii) 10 3/8 by 5 1/8 in. 26.4 by 13 cm.

Condition

The first work is on pink paper. There are scattered creases from handling and rippling throughout. There is a hard horizontal crease 2/3 of the way down the work that extends from side to side. There are a few very minor stains scattered throughout and some minor abrasions along the lower right edge. On the reverse a black and white photo has been cut out and adhered to the reverse of the paper. Not examined out of the frame. The second work is on blue paper. The mat is discolored and uneven around the work. The work is in generally good condition aside from a few minor creases in the upper left corner, halfway down the left edge and along the lower edge. Some minor staining along the lower edge. Not examined out of the frame.
