  • (i) Signed P. Tchelitchew and dated 37 (lower center); (iii) Signed Pavel, dated West Dean 8 June 34 and inscribed to Charlie from Pavlik (lower right) 
  • Each: Pen and ink on paper
  • (i) 13 1/2 by 16 1/2 in. 34.3 by 41.9 cm.
  • (ii) 11 3/4 by 7 3/4 in. 29.8 by 19.7 cm.; (iii) 11 7/8 by 5 7/8 in. 30.2 by 14.9 cm.

Condition

An Island Citadel has hscattered handling creases and rippling throughout. The sheet is toned and there are scattered minor areas of staining throughout. There are small spots of red ink in the left of the island and in the center of the sheet. A Sketch of Charles Henri Ford is in generally good condition aside from the left edge being slightly uneven. The sheet is somewhat toned and has a light layer of surface dirt and a few very minor scattered stains. The inscription on the reverse is beginning to show through at the bottom. A Figure Study is in generally good condition aside from scattered staining and handling creases and a hard crease that stretches across the bottom third of the work. The sheet is uneven, with a few minor nicks and losses, and somewhat toned.
