The movement and chronograph will run at the time of cataloguing, however it does stop after a stop time and will require servicing. The dial with some tarnishing to the hands, the numerals are discoloured and the slide-rule is spotted and discoloured. The case is scuffed and there is an in dentation to the underside of the left hand lug. Case no. 839224.

In the mid-1950s Breitling produced the Navitimer wristwatch for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). The most notable difference between these early models and later versions is that it was fitted with the Valjoux 72 movement, which was also used in Rolex Daytona models and other chronographs and calendar watches in this era. The dial on the present example features the AOPA winged logo rather than the Breitling name.
