  • Diamonds
  • length 51 mm
• nickel lever movement • silvered dial, Arabic numerals • set within a  diamond-set brooch designed as two swans engaged in a tête-à-tête, with eyes in colored sapphire and beaks in faceted onyx, the watch case designed as as an egg between the two • completed by a scroll-form brooch • unsigned

Condition

Overall a very charming piece. There is movement to the balance when wound, however it will require service to run consistently and keep time. The movement is unsigned. The dial is in good condition with no notable imperfections, and is signed by the retailer, Colman. The case is in overall very good condition with good definition throughout and only very light surface scuffs visible only to the sides. There are two holes to the profile, which may have held screws or pins to secure the watch into the case which are now lacking, however the watch is secure without those pieces. The piece is unable to be tested but most likely white gold, or platinum. The piece is stamped with a butterfly and a W, which is a Viennese stamp used from 1954 on. Please note that the circa date is in fact 1955. The grosgrain ribbon is currently frayed and will require replacement.
