- A SPECIALLY DESIGNED 18K YELLOW GOLD AND ONYX DIAMOND-SET WATCH 1979
- diameter 37 mm
• cal. 96 manually winding nickel lever movement, 18 jewels • silvered dial • Roman numerals in black enamel spaced by florets to the gold bezel, surround and case back in onyx, baguette-cut diamond-set band, special Cartier presentation engraving to the interior of the bezel • case, dial and movement signed, case further hand-stamped with Cartier reference numbers
Condition
The movement is running at the time of cataloguing, however it may require service soon. The dial is very clean with no visible imperfections. The case shows some light scuffs to the gold bezel but no visible imperfections to the onyx. The pendant is hand-stamped with Cartier reference numbers 18767.
The inscription to the interior of the bezel reads: 'Designed for [Redacted] by Walter Kroehnekt at Cartier New York, 1979.'

The interior of the bezel on the present example is engraved with a inscription from Cartier designer Walter Kroehnert for the original owner of the piece. It specifies that the piece was designed and handmade for the client at Cartier New York in 1979.
