  • AN UNUSUAL PLATINUM OCTAGONAL WATCH, CONVERTED TO A LEFT-HANDED WRISTWATCH CIRCA 1920
  • width 39 mm
• circular nickel lever movement, 18 jewels • silvered dial, stylized Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds at 3 o'clock • octagonal case with crown at 9 o'clock, wire lugs, presentation engraving to the inside of the snap case back • movement signed HP, France, dial signed Caldwell

Condition

Please note that this piece has been converted to a wristwatch. The movement is running at the time of cataloguing, however it may require service soon. The texture and finish of the numerals is uneven and they appear to be re-enameled. The inside of the case is engraved Jos. Godissart, Paris, 1924, and the outside of the case shows surface scuffs and some rippling or a slight recess toward the center.
