The movement is running at the time of cataloguing, however it may require service soon. The dial shows no visible imperfections. The case shows some moderate wear, with surface scuffs visible to the case. The hallmarks to the case back are quite crisp and the watch has not been polished.

Ref. 5009 was produced for just over a decade after its debut in 1991. Examples with bracelets, such as the present lot, feature unusual stepped lugs that are very similar to those on Ref. 1480, another Gondolo model produced in the 1940s.
