Condition

The first: The balance oscillates for only a brief period then stops, and will need a complete overhaul. Minute repeating is functioning when activated. Chronograph operates for only a brief period before stopping. The gilt-finish to the plates is almost completely lost, so the movement appears nickel-finished. The dial appears intact. There is loss of engine-turned decoration to the case as a result of polishing. The case and cuvette are numbered 71225. The movement is stamped 31798 (patent number). The second: The balance oscillates when the watch is wound, but the movement will need an overhaul. Minute repeating appears to function when activated, but one of the hammers is not striking the gong and will need to be adjusted when overhauled. The chronograph functions, but the 30-minute register does not advance. The dial appears intact. There are scratches to the case. The case and cuvette are numbered 50677. The movement is numbered 151454 and stamped 31798 (patent number).
