Condition
Dial with conistent patina and aging throughout. Original luminescent dots well preserved. Case with very slight wear but also well preserved in original condition. Movement may require cleaning and overhaul.

The launch of Ref. 6062 took place in 1950, coinciding with the so-called 'Rolex Festival', marking the 70th birthday of the founder, Hans Wilsdorf, the 25th anniversary of the Oyster case, and the 20th anniversary of the automatic rotor. During the event, six Oyster perpetual wristwatches were dropped into the Geneva lake and ceremoniously trailed behind a boat throughout the day. When recovered, they were as good as new, proving the water-resistance of the Oyster case production.
To the best of our knowledge, there have only been seven examples of Ref. 6062 with star dials offered at public auction.
