Catalogue Note

Accompanied by Certificate of Origin dated 9 September 2008, leather folder, setting tool, spare solid back, presentation box, and packaging.

The Ref. 5970 was introduced at the Basel show in 2005. The massive case design of the watch is inspired by the vintage lines of the Ref. 1518. Originally offered in white and rose gold, the watch was later offered in yellow gold and finally platinum. The yellow gold version of the Ref. 5970 was offered exclusively in 2008 and was made in small numbers due to demand in a time of economic difficulty. After being in production for less than a year, the yellow gold Ref. 5970 is recognized as the rarest of all the case metal variants.
