• cal. 27-460M automatic movement with the seal of Geneva, 30 jewels • gilt dial, applied baton indexes, subsidiary seconds, aperture for date at 3 o'clock • 'PP' crown, screw-down case back • movement signed by maker, dial signed by maker and retailer, case signed by maker

Condition

The movement is stamped HOX, indicating it was made for the American market. It is running at the time of cataloguing, however it may require service soon. The dial is in nice condition with a very small scuff at the center of the subsidiary seconds dial, only noticeable under magnification. The case may have been very lightly polished but still shows very good definition and very few light surface scuffs. The strap of this watch contains endangered species; please see Important Notices for further information.

B.D. Howes & Son was founded in Los Angeles, CA in 1919. The company eventually grew to ten stores across California, Arizona and Hawaii and remained an important American retailer of Patek Philippe through the 1970s.
