Catalogue Note
With an Extract from the Archives confirming sale with diamond hour markers on December 8th, 1943.
Examples of the Ref. 570 in platinum are extremely rare and considered one of the most desirable of all time only wristwatches from the 1940s and 1950s. Patek Philippe introduced this model, Ref. 570, in 1938, and continued production until approximately 1970. This model was made in two series, the first bearing cal. 12-120. The second series, which was launched in 1950, was fitted with cal. 12-400. A member of the Calatrava family, Ref. 570 has become one of the most iconic oversized watches made by the company.
