- A GROUP OF TWO 18K WHITE GOLD OPEN-FACED WATCHES CIRCA 1960 REF 6668 AND 6346
- the first: length 49 mm, the second: diameter 42 mm
• both: cal. 1003 manual winding nickel lever movement with the seal of Geneva, 17 jewels, silvered dial, snap back, case, dial and movement signed • the first: baguette sapphire-set indexes, sapphire-set asymmetrical teardrop-form case, the case back further secured by six screws, with a matching chain and mesh lapel piece set with sapphires, stamped with the Maltese Cross • the second: elongated baton indexes, diamond-set bezel with three rubies at the quarters, enlarged flat bezel, ultra-thin case
Condition
Both: The movement is running at the time of cataloguing, however it may require service soon. Both cases are very crisp with excellent case definition and unpolished, with some light surface scuffs to each, with perhaps slightly more to the teardrop-shaped watch.
The first: the movement is numbered 558752 and the case is numbered 6668 and 389529. The dial shows some light spotting to the edges which is visible to the naked eye.
The second: the movement is numbered 544764 and the case is numbered 6346 and 369012. The dial shows some light spotting which is only visible under magnification. The total diamond weight is approximately 0.54 cts.
