  • A FINE AND RARE 18K GOLD AND DIAMOND MINUTE REPEATING WATCH FOR THE INDIAN MARKET CIRCA 1880

  • diameter 50 mm
• nickel lever movement, highly jeweled, some carried in gold chatons, repeating on gongs, bi-metallic compensation balance, gold cuvette • white enamel dial, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds • case engraved overall with scrolling foliage, the front lid centered by a patera, set with rose-cut diamonds, the reverse engraved with strapwork and scrolls • accompanied by a heavy 18k gold chain composed of laniard stye links, all en-suite with the original fitted leather box

Sale Room Notice Please note that this piece is a quarter repeater and not a minute repeater as catalogued. The watch appears to be in good condition, and striking in phase, the case is very crisp and overall in generallly unworn condition, the movement is running, the chain is of very fine quality and heavy, with the original fitted box in fairly good condition with the exception of one gauge on to the leather on the top.
