Condition

The dial signature has mispelled Mackvick rather than Markwick, unusual to have a chronometer for the Turkish market and they are not listed in Mercer as having made one, so could possibly been a special order made for them in London and retailed through them in Turkey. The alternative is that the dial was not signed before and was later signed. still in a massively heavy case with a fine chronometer movement. Dent in case back.
