Condition
The first: The balance oscillates when wound for a brief period, but the movement will need to be cleaned and serviced. The dial is somewhat tarnished/lightly discolored, but well preserved. The inner case has a distinct line with some denting as a result of resting within the outer case for an extensive amount of time. The outer case is tarnished. The movement is signed W. Kipling, London and numbered 2134.
The second: The balance oscillates when wound for a brief period, but the movement will need to be cleaned and serviced. The dial has numerous scratches with a very heavy one (almost a chip) above 6 o'clock. The inner case has loss of gilt finish, particularly where it rubs against the outer case. The outer case is discolored, but the decorations are well preserved. The movement is signed Wm Rich, London, and numbered 2022.
The third: : The balance oscillates when wound for a brief period, but the movement will need to be cleaned and overhauled. The dial has some light scratches, but appears intact. The regulator adjustment aperture to the dial is not functioning. The associated hand is glued to the inside of the crystal, so when the case is front bezel is closed, the hand 'appears' to be in the correct place on the dial. The blue enamel panel to the case back and inside of the case back is associated and the enamel is clearly restored. The movement is signed P.P. Barrraud, London and numbered 2504. the enamel dial is also restored
The existence of no. 2504 was unknown during the publication of the monograph on Barraud published in 1968. ,mention of the watch appears in the supplement 11 years later, where it was then noted that it was one of two, interestingly the condition of the case for no. 2504 is unchanged as it is noted in the book to have what was considered a replaced and restored blue enamel panel
