Catalogue Note
Tiffany & Company remained a close partner of Patek Philippe in the 1920s and through the dark years to follow in the Great Depression. Catering to the some of the greatest watch collectors of the time, including Henry Graves, Jr., Tiffany requested Patek Philippe to manufacture watches that reached the highest levels of aesthetic beauty and technical prowess. Watches such as this split seconds minute repeater exemplify this close relationship as Tiffany requested a custom dial that featured the name of the retailer with stylized Breguet numerals, a rarity in design and complication.
