• 19½''' lever movement marked Extra, Guillaume balance, diamond endstone, movement number stamped twice, 18k pink gold cuvette • white enamel dial, black dauphine numerals, outer red numerals for minutes, subsidiary seconds, gold Louis XV-style hands • interlocking enamel monogram to the hinged back • case, dial and movement signed • Extract from the Archives confirming sale 24 Dec 1897 and Geneva Observatory rating certificate obtained 19 Nov 1896
Condition
The movement is running at the time of cataloguing, however it may require service soon. The dial is in very nice condition with no visible hairlines. The case shows some surface scuffs, and the monogram to the case back reads 'PRS'.

Catalogue Note
This 'Extra' quality watch features a Guillaume balance and was submitted to the Geneva Observatory in 1896 for chronometric testing. Made to the highest levels of watchmaking, watches submitted to the Observatory were destined to compete against the world's most accurate watches.
