- A RARE PINCHBECK AND AGATE DOUBLE SCENT BOTTLE WITH DOUBLE DIALLED WATCH MADE FOR THE ORIENTAL MARKETWATCH CIRCA 1750, THE BOTTLE LATE 19TH CENTURY

• two gilt verge movements • the first dial: chased and engraved gilt dial with white enamel chapter ring, Roman numerals with outer Arabic minute track, the second dial: white enamel dial, Roman numerals with outer Arabic minute track • the watch case set above a crescent shaped double opening agate scent bottle with spreading foot, the gold cage work mounts chased in régence taste with strap work inhabited by griffins and shells, scrolled stoppers and mask finial, further applied with square cut diamond ornament • dials signed • original case
Condition
The movements are not running or winding and will require restoration. The first dial is in good condition. The second dial has several hairline cracks and chips at 3 o'clock and around the winding hold. The case is tarnished, there are also screws missing around the dial. The applied gold decoration has some small cracks, there is a small area missing a scroll near the foot between the griffins.
