Condition

The panel is flat and cradled. Overall the paint layer is well preserved. Though the paint in the background and in the blue hues appear to have thinned, this may be simply due to the fact the paint was originally applied thinly. Under UV, a thick milky varnish is apparent, which has rendered any retouches underneath invisible. A few very minor retouches are visible along the top edge of the panel, which have been due to earlier frame abrasion. Overall, picture presents a strong image with good coloration and retention of paint.
