Illustration is quite accurate. Actually, this carpet is probably from the Tournai manufacture which was renowned in the production of "velouté" (smooth) carpets. As expected, some wear in places but overall condition is good. It has probably been reduced in width and length, and the border re-sewed afterwards. Large size, elegant design.
