Description

  • M. Gérard
  • 18 karat white gold, diamond, ruby, necklace, bracelet, ring
Comprising a necklace of knot design supporting an articulated fringe, set throughout with round diamonds weighing approximately 19.50 carats, and round rubies, length adjustable, signed M. Gerard, numbered CS 1297, French assay marks; a bracelet set with round diamonds weighing approximately 6.75 carats and round rubies, length 6 7/8  inches, signed M. Gerard, Made in France, numbered CS 1290, French assay mark; and a ring set with round diamonds weighing approximately 2.90 carats and round rubies, size 5¼, signed M. Gerard, numbered CS 1277.

Condition

The necklace set with 138 round diamonds and 132 round rubies; the bracelet set with 56 round diamonds and 50 round rubies; and the ring set with 24 round diamonds and 20 round rubies. Diamonds are approximately F-H color and predominantly VS clarity. The rubies are a medium deep slightly purplish red color and are of good clarity. The necklace adjusts in length by sliding the thumbpiece out on the reverse of the knot, pulling up on the locking mechanism and sliding the strands of diamonds and rubies through the knot. A clever and versatile design. The strands of necklace and bracelet are very flexible and well made. All pieces in good condition.
