Set in the center with a cushion-shaped tanzanite weighing approximately 24.00 carats, framed by round and pear-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 7.00 carats, accented by pear-shaped sapphires, size 8.

Provenance

Property from the Collection of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd H Smith, Sotheby's, New York, April 12, 2000, lot 347.

Condition

The tanzanite is a rich shade of slightly violet medium blue and is evenly colored, with minor chippng and abrasions to the facet junctions. Evidence of poorly executed sizing and repair to the shank, but in good condition overall.
