The sapphire is a medium purplish pink color; close in color to the printed catalogue illustration. Shallow abrasions seen under close inspection to the table and bezel facets which can be polished out; the body of the sapphire is eye-clean. The marquise-shaped diamonds present open culets and are approximately D-F color and VVS-VS clarity. Additional smaller diamonds are approximately G-H color and VS-SI clarity. In good condition. This piece is from a much larger collection originally belonging to N. McKee Graham of Pittsburgh. According to the consignor, a descendant of Mrs. Graham, the collection was sold upon her death to benefit the ASPCA. The three items offered here were bought back from the sale by the family.
