The rectangular gold mesh and platinum bag surmounted by an openwork frame set with French-cut diamonds weighing approximately 2.20 carats, and rectangular-cut sapphires, the thumbpiece set with a cabochon sapphire, gross weight approximately 194 dwts., measuring approximately 5¾ by 5 7/8  inches, inscribed N. McKee Graham, Pittsburgh.

Condition

The frame set with 10 diamonds approximately G-H color and VS-SI clarity and deep blue sapphires of good clarity. In good condition overall. There is a safety catch that slides away from the cabochon sapphire thumbpiece to lock the clasp. This piece is from a much larger collection originally belonging to N. McKee Graham of Pittsburgh. According to the consignor, a descendant of Mrs. Graham, the collection was sold upon her death to benefit the ASPCA. The three items offered here were bought back from the sale by the family.
