The oval form case applied with black enamel, set with carved emeralds, cabochon rubies and rose-cut diamonds, the interior fitted with three covered compartments, a mirror, lipstick and faux tortoiseshell panel, signed Cartier, Made in France, French assay marks.
Condition
Set with 2 carved emeralds and 2 cabochon rubies. Diamonds are of decorative quality. Numbered 1701 on left side of inner lip near the compact lid. Also numbered 1083 and 1580 which have both been struck through. Signed Cartier and Made in France on the lip of the inner faux tortoise shell panel behind the mirror. Scratching and discoloration to the gold on the interior. Exterior enamel intact. In good condition overall. 3 1/8 x 1 3/4 x 7/8 inches.
