each painted with polychrome flowers on a light green ground, with a pierced apron on cabriole legs, on hoof feet, the alabaster veneered tops of later date
Condition
In overall good conserved condition. The tops are most attractive. There is an old very minor restoration to the rear left corner of one top but this is not too noticable together with some very minor areas of infill. Very attractive detail to the carved and painted decoration with some very minor retouching to the painting and gilding. Both bases are slightly dirty and would benefit to a light clean according to taste. On one there are construction cracks at the joints where the frieze meets the wooden top and there has been regluing which has resulted in a gap and some brown discolouration which would benefit from some further attention. The later table has a small section of acanthus leaf on the left side of the stretcher missing and an old glue repair to the acanthus leaf on the right stretcher. On the 18th century table there is a hairline vertical crack to the leftside of the front middle leg which could easily be filled or left and some hairline construction cracks to the joints which are not too noticeable and the stretcher has been reblocked to the reverse of the middle front leg.
