Description

  • gilt-bronze mahogany and oak
  • 126cm. high, 63cm. wide, 32cm. deep; 4ft. 1½in., 2ft 2¾in., 1ft.½in.
with a three-quarter galleried veined white marble top above a frieze drawer and a fall-front opening to reveal a later tooled green leather writing surface, one shelf and four short drawers above two doors enclosing a shelf on turned tapering legs terminating in gilt-bronze toupie feet, the whole with beaded panels of rootwood

Condition

In overall very good condition.There is a restored break in the marble top but this has been well executed.The gilt-bronze gallery is slightly warped.The gilt bronze mounts are later. The inside of the lower section has some later replacements. The escutcheon on the fall-front needs repinning.
