Description

- 107cm high, 79cm wide, 48cm deep; 3ft. 6in., 2ft. 7in., 1ft. 7in.
with a demi-lune upper section with a three quarter galleried white marble top above a door enclosing a shelf flanked by a recess with two white marble shelves, the lower section with a rectangular three-quarter galleried top above a pull-out leather-lined writing slide, central frieze drawer flanked by two short drawers, on square fluted square tapering legs headed by gilt-bronze guttae, on gilt-bronze toupie feet; reveneered on the reverse and partially remounted
Condition
In good overall condition and can be placed immediately.The marble and gilt-bronzes are slightly dirty and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. The handles of the writing slide need securing as they are loose. There are some restored hairline cracks which have been generally well restored. This has not been reveneered on the reverse as stated in the catalogue but the veneer has been sanded down. There is a horizontal hairline crack across the reverse of the upper section which can easily be filled. Some of the pins attaching the gallery around the marble are missing but this can eaily be replaced.
