- gilt-bronze mahogany and bois satiné
- 142cm. high, 97.5cm. wide, 40cm. deep; 4ft. 8in., 3ft. 2½in., 1ft. 3¾in.
with a rectangular mottled grey marble top with projecting rounded corners above a frieze drawer and panelled fall-front applied with a raised rectangular panel within double beaded borders with inverted corners applied with a patera opening to reveal a later tooled leather writing surface and fitted interior with six drawers and three later cartonniers, the lower section with a pair of doors opening to reveal a shelf, formerly fitted with a coffre-fort, with stop-fluted stiles on short tapering legs terminating in toupie feet; partially remounted
Condition
Overall in very good condition. Old minor marks chips and scratches to the marble top. The mounts are later and there are very minor hairline cracks to the veneer which can be easily filled or left. Internally there is evidence there were previous hinges.
